Week 8....the final week

So, I cannot believe this is the last week of English! It caught me completely off guard! When I logged on to do some posts and read it was the last week i was a little bit confused, I think I forgot it was a block one class. Anyways, I have had fun opening up my mind to all of the different readings and sharing my thoughts as well as hearing the thoughts of others. I also really liked creating the web pages. It was a nice change of pace from normal classess so much so that I did not really feel like I was just doing a school work task. I actually felt like I was learning...crazy! So I am glad I was able to take this class. I really enjoyed it!

week 7

well, this has been an eventful week. I am moved into my new house, we are pretty much done with our group page, and I am currently reading Mrs. Dalloway which I have never read before. We are 7 weeks into the semester, only 9 to go, so were almost half way there, but this class is almost over. I need to decide on a topic for essay 3 so I can get that going. I always have kind of a hard time deciding, but once I get it going it kind of takes off. well, I do not have much to say so I'll leave it at that.

week six....i think

Wow, what a week. I will own my first house tomorrow! Since this is a blog for English I guess I should do a little blogging about that. I finished my individual web page today and I am going to start working on my part for the group page. I am trying to get all of my posts and everything done early so I will not go insane with house, school, and work. I really enjoyed the poems we read this week. They were sort of inspirational and full of love. I also enjoyed working on my web page and I am looking forward to working on author bios for the group page.

I've lost track of what week it is

So, what a crazy week I have had. Surprisingly, I am keeping up with my school work and making good grades. It always seems to be the times when I am most busy in life that I make the best grades...weird. Today I am committed to finishing essay 2 about the Goblin Market. I found the comparisons between that poem and the Garden of Eden to be very interesting, so it should not be hard to put it down on paper once I get started.
After that it is time to start packing. We move into our first home in a week! crazy!

Feeling good

This week has started out well. It has been productive thus far and productive is good. I have been working on my web page for class and have decided to do it on Frankenstein. As my last weeks post revealed I really enjoyed the book and was fascinated with the characters so I thought it would be good to make a web page about it. I feel pretty good abou the team project as well. I was a little worried at first of how it would all come together but after some communication with my members I think it will go well. I am caught up on homework for the moment and now get to spend a little time relaxing and playing with the puppy. Good times.

Frankenstein?

So, this week in class we have been reading the book Frankenstein. This book is not at all what I thought it would be, and who would have known that the creator was Frankenstein, not the creature. I have really enjoyed reading it. I think it is kind of one of those books that sucks you in because you get wrapped up in the characters lives. As a psychology major, I have also enjoyed reading about the things Victor and the creature have gone through mentally.

Life is good

So, life has been exceptionally good lately. We are less than a month away from closing on our house. Our interest rate keeps going down, which is awesome. We bought a puppy from the pound but wont get it for another 6 days or so. They had to wait five days to start the surgury/ shot stuff in case his family came and found him. Today is day five and I have not gotten a call saying he was found so it looks like we are his family now. I am ready to spoil him. I already have toys, snacks, grooming stuff, a comfortable bed, and lots of love to give him.
School is going really good as well. I find myself finishing my assignments with time to spare and being able to contribute and participate more because I am not stressed out all the time because of my lack of time.
I can not lie, I am blessed and everything that is happening is evidence of that. I keep waiting for something to go wrong like I am going to jinks it or something, but then I realize blessings can not be jinksed. I am not even sure that is how you spell that.
I am really enjoying this English class. I have always loved poetry so it has been fun to get to read different things and really think about the meaning behind them. I am looking forward to reading the old classics like Frankenstein since I never read them growing up.
Anyways...it has been a good week and I will definitly keep you posted.
